TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for hospitalists, primary care physicians, diabetologists & endocrinologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists.
GOAL STATEMENT
The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to use real-time continuous glucose monitoring (rtCGM) in hospitalized patients with diabetes for improved clinical outcomes.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of this activity, participants should:
- Have increased knowledge regarding the
- Data supporting rtCGM use in the hospital (non-intensive care unit [non-ICU] and ICU settings)
- Have greater competence related to
- Practical use of rtCGM in the hospital (non-ICU setting)
- Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
- Use data from rtCGM to decrease dysglycemia in the hospitalized patients with diabetes
